The most popular 8 km trip route starts from the KFDC base camp, about 24 km from Munnar. One can reach the base camp of Meesapulimala from Munnar via Mattupetty through Arivikad estate and the trip to the base camp is delicate, yet provocative. KFDC  arranges all the installations for touring and boarding. Climbers will be accompanied by an expert companion handed by the KFDC. From the base camp, one can reach Rhodo Valley by a 4 km bumpy jeep lift which is the last point accessible by any four-wheelers.

One can also delight in the spectacular view of the girding falls including the gorgeous Kurinji waterfall. It will take about 6- 8 hours to complete the full route. The swish time to plan your trip to Meesapulimala is in the months of October and February. During these months, the downfall is affable enough and comfortable, so that you can soak in the beauty of the trail in peace. KFDC organizes many travelling programs to Meesapulimala. Located on the Munnar-Marayoor route, Lakkam Waterfalls is surrounded by vaga trees and surging cascades and is an ideal picnic spot in Munnar. While on a picnic in Attukal waterfalls, in the outskirt of Munnar town on the way to Pallivasal, also plan a small trek along the surrounding hillocks. River Pambar drops as Thoovanam falls near Chinnar.
